DONEGAL & MAYO
This
tour is based in three different accommodations and two different counties in
the North West corner of Ireland and takes in some of the history, geology, flora
and fauna of both counties. The first two accommodations are in Donegal, based
in Bunbeg and Donegal Town. The county is the second largest in Ireland and its
legendary landscape made up of mountains, moors, inland waterways, magnificent
sandy un-spoiled beaches and dramatic sea cliffs make it one
of the most fascinating counties in country. The second part of the tour is based
in County Mayo, in the small but beautiful fishing village of Newport which, is
situated on the banks of the Newport River, on the entrance to Clew Bay. Mayo,
the third largest county in Ireland offers a great geographical contrast; from
impressive cliffs, rolling mountains to desolate moorlands of blanket bog and
forests.
